Connecting between Aer Arann Flights at Dublin Airport
If your journey involves connecting flights at Dublin Airport please read the following information carefully.
Aer Arann now offers passengers the facility to book connecting journeys involving two Aer Arann flights with the benefit of lower prices and easier airport transfers.
Depending on your specific journey, the procedure to be followed will vary. Passengers arriving from a domestic airport may transfer to their onward flight by simply going directly to the onward flight’s departure gate whilst passengers arriving from an international flight need to clear immigration procedures and use the signposted Transfer Channel at Dublin Airport to reach the onward flight.
When you check-in at your origin airport, your baggage will normally be through-checked to your onward destination and you should be issued with a boarding pass for your onward flight. This may not be possible at all airports, in which case you may need to retrieve your baggage and check-in again at Dublin airport. Please confirm with the check-in agent at your origin airport regarding your specific journey.
Connecting from a Domestic Flight
Upon arrival at Dublin, if you are connecting from a domestic Aer Arann flight (i.e. from Kerry) and are in possession of your onward boarding pass for your connecting Aer Arann flight, you may proceed directly to the boarding gate of your connecting flight. Boarding gate information will be displayed on the airport flight information screens which you can check upon arrival. All Aer Arann flights use the Pier A at Dublin airport, so your departure gates should be no more than a few minutes walk from your arrival gate.
Connecting from an International Flight
If your arrival is from an international Aer Arann flight (i.e. from Isle of Man) you must proceed through immigration and follow the signage for the transfer channel to the boarding gate of your onward Aer Arann flight. To access the transfer channel you must proceed to the end of the baggage hall and follow the stairs back through the security clearance area, please see map below.
If you have not been issued with an onward boarding pass, you must proceed through the normal arrivals channel to the Aer Arann check-in desks on the departures level.
